Patent Pending @ Appalachain Heritage Festival

[9.8.11] The band is pleased to be a part of the annual Appalachain Heritage Festival at Shepherd University, Shepherdstown, WV.

This year's festival will feature a tribute to Hazel Dickens. Hazel was a good friend to the band and we are looking forward to honoring her memory, and celebrating her life by singing some of her songs.

This event will be at the Frank Center at Shepherd University at 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 1, 2011.

Winchester CD Release Party

(12.08.10) Thanks to all that came out for the Winchester release party at Piccadilly's Public House. Our recording engineer and co-conspiritor, George Hodgkiss was among the guests. George has made two albums with the band, but this was his first time to see Patent Pending outside of the studio. Our old friend Frank Jurney performed the MC duties, and the band was joined onstage by musicians Red Henry and Chris Sexton. Thanks also to pub owners Carol and Dale Bush.

CD Release Party - Tiffany Tavern

(11.20.10) A good time was had by all at the second CD Release Party at Tiffany Tavern, Alexandria, Virginia. It was great to go back to one of the band's frequent old haunts and see so many familiar faces. We could hardly fit. Keith is playing in the doorway, and we had to stick Ed in the stairwell.

Not a Day Goes By - Airplay

(11.19.10) Many thanks to Katy and Lee at WAMU/bluegrasscountry.org for playing the CD a number of times this week. Our roots are in Washington, and it was nice to be played first at home in DC.
